Hey, I’m Arlinda and this is a little about me.
I’m a 17 year old student living in Willesden in North West London. I am currently studying media in City of Westminster College. Once I finish college I would like to go university studying advertising and marketing. Once I finish all my education I would like a career in the Advertising and Marketing company. I was born in London and i live at home with my mum, dad and brother. I also have an older sister who i get on really well with but she moved out over a year ago. I am a bubbly, enthusiastic and funny. Alot of the time i get called 'blonde' by my friends because they say i can be really slow and forgetfull at times. When im not in college i work part time as a junior P.A for the company 'Zodiac' based in harrow. Apart from that in my free time im usually out with the girls, shopping or clubbing, but sometimes i have my lazy days when i just stay in bed all day.

I have a big intrest in fashion. I love dressing up and wearing dresses or fancy clothes with big heels for occasions. On a casual day I prefer to wear leggings with a long top or jeans and a cardigan. I love accessorising my outfits with jewellery and bags and usually have my hair straight or curly. As a fashion idol Kim Kardashian is a very big one of mine. I think she’s very beautiful and has an amazing body! She has a great sense of style. Im not into the whole gothy, grundgy, old fashioned look as its juts not for me.
At the moment there are many fashion labels that are in style. True religion jeans are a high fashion state, then you also have Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Louis Vouitton & Prada. These were worn by all celebs but have now caught an eye out for the younger generation especially boys as the like to be 'swagged' out.

Analysis Of Interactive Video
The term interactive video usually refers to a technique used to blend interaction and linear film or video. There are many platforms that interactive video exists on. This varies from many different Medias like TV, IPods, Mp4 players, Mobile Phones, Internet and many more. The main purposes of interactive media are to educate, entertain, inform and to advise. In my essay I will be looking at and comparing 4 different types of interactive videos, e.g. viral, user generated, virtual tours and movie trailers.
Viral marketing are campaigns which are shown on TV or internet but are successful as they are usually broadcasted through many different ways, e.g. someone showing it to you, posting through facebook and many other social sites. This is done to produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives, such as product sales through self-replicating viral processesI looked at 2 different viral interactive videos ‘Think UK – Road Safety Ad’ and ‘Get Unhooked’ The 'Road Safety' ad shows a little girl dead on the side of the road by a tree after being run over at 40mph, then slowely it starts to rewind as if going to the past to what would have happened if she got hit at 30mph which is the speed limit on most roads. the girl survives at 30mph and you hear her say 'if you hit me at 40mph theres about an 80% chance ill die, hit me at 30mph and theres an 80% chance ill live' at the end of the advert it says 'its 30 for a reason'. The 'Get Unhooked' advert shows a mum talking to her daughter and then gets dragged by a hook to her bag where she gets her cigarrettes and starts smoking whilst being watched by her young daughter. It then skips to a man walking on the road as he gets hooked too and get dragged to the shop where he buys cigarettes and comes out smoking.
The target audience for the 'Road Safety' ad is mainly for drivers but also people walking on the road to be careful if you see a 'speeding car, but the 'get Unhooked' ad is for smokers only. Both these campaings appear on the digital platforms on TV and internet. The 'Road Safety' ad enhances our experience as it makes drivers re-think about their speed limit and make a change by driving a bit slower but it also warns the people walking to look out for the fast drivers as they could get seriously affected if hit. The purpose of this video was to aware people of what could happen wih driving speed limits and to stop them from driving more than 30. For the 'Get Unhooked' the ad enhances smokers experiences as it makes them see themselves in someone elses eyes and it also shows how easily it is for them to get hooked onto smoking. It also shows the measuers of what some people would go through just to smoke. The purpose of the advert was to get people to stop smoking and show the non smokers how easy it is to get hooked. The technical qualities of the video are quiet silimar in both adverts. As they are talking about a serious matter both ads are rather dull and bland and have not got much colour to them. They were both edited good because for the 'Road Safety' ad it is slowelt rewinded but for the 'Get Unhooked' ad the ad is speed up while they are getting hooked. The sound of both was smiliar as it was both slow and for the 'Get Unhooked' ad the voice was much more deeper. I think that the 'Road Safety' ad was more intresting as the images and sound kept me aware of its purpose but 'Get Unhooked' was more confusing and not as intresting. 'Get Unhooked' could have been improves if maybe some fast scary music was added and if it was made a bit more brighter as its vey dull but maybe that was its purpose.

User Generated material is video that is shot by a member of the audience; non-professionally produced video. This type of video is common on YouTube, but many news outlets are accepting video from the audience. For this I chose ‘Fred Goes Swimming’ and ‘Black Friday Haul’ 'Fred Goes Swimming' is about a crazy boy who is very childish and has a very squeeky voice as he tells us he wants to go swimming but mentions a girl that he likes. He ends up going swimming in a little pool in his garden and is seen by the girl he likes and she laughs at him and also gets chased by her boyfriend. When he gets home he starts going crazy and moans about everything but this is a very funny video. 'Black Friday Haul' gives us an insight of a girls wardrobe from new clothes and jewellry and tells us where and how much she got them from, She also gives us many tips on different fashion states. The target audience for 'Fred Goes Swimming' is for little kids, children, teenagers and aso some adults that like amature comedy, but 'Black Haul Friday' is more for young girls and women and whoever else is really into fashion. The digital platform that these videos appear on is the internet on youtube. For 'Fred goes swimming' this video enhances our experience as its very entertaining so it makes us laugh. Also the purpose of this video was just to entertain people. For 'Black Friday Haul' this video enhances users experience as it gives us an undertsnading of fashion in the girls perspective and the different styles they have in america compared with us. The purpose of this video was to educate and entertain us and to give us an insight and tops on fashion and how to dress.
The technical qualities of 'Fred goes swimming' are that the sound was edited, it was made very squeeky and fast. The recording was not professionally done as it was done with a handheld camera but it was to a good standard. There were loads of pauses, skipping from bit to bit and there was als a range of different points zooming from in to out. 'Black Friday Haul' was just a plain simple still webc camera. The image quality was good enough and so was the sound quality. There was no editing at all. I personally prefered 'Fred Goes Swimming' as it was more fun and entertaining so it fulfilled its purpose, but on the other hand i think that 'Black Friday Haul' could have been more entertaining and editing should have been done to it and also some background music and also on screen pictures to make it more intresting and keep us entertained.
Virtual tours are a simulation of an existing location, usually composed of a sequence of video image. They also may use other multimedia elements such as sound effects, music, narration, and text. This gives you a feeling as if you are in the room. For the first virtual tour i chose to do the Eiffel Tower. On this virtual tour it is simply just a 360 degrees photo from one angel looking up to the eifel tower and its surroundings. The other one i looked at was The Craiglands Hotel which shows us clearly every single room in the hotel from conserverties to bedrooms and bathrooms showing us 360 degrees from side to side and up and down. You can chose what room you want to be in. These virtual tours are targetted at people who are intrested in visiting or jsut want to see what it would be like to be there. The digital platform that these virtual tours appear on is the internet. These enhance the users experience as it lets them go on personal tours without having to actually be there and it gives them an insight of what it actually is like the be there. I think that the Eiffel Tower virtual tour needs to be improves significantally as its just a plain picture that you can more from side to side. The Craiglands Hotel shows us clearly of what is inside and we get to move it to wherever we want and how we want. The image is realistic for the Eiffel Tower but The Craiglands Hotel does not look as realistic.

Movie Trailers are film advertisements for feature films that will be exhibited in the future at a cinema, on whose screen they are shown. For this i chose to copare two trailers of two of my favourite films. 'Love & Basketball' is a romantic drama film about a young couple who fall in love at a young age and have the same dream of being in the NBA for basketball, but as they grow older go their seperate ways. They then later on realise that there meant to be together and spend most their time together or playing basketball. As they are both trying to persure their careers their relationship messes up and they end up falling out. In the trailer it shows them trying to fight for their love and also fight to make it big. The other trailer i chose was 'ATL' which is about young boys in Atlanta in college that love to skate/dance who get involved in fights, with drugs and some fall in love. It shows all their crazy nights out and also shows us the love forming between two of the main characters. Both trailers are targertted at the younger generation but also people who are into romance and drama. The digital platform that these trailers appear on are TV and internet. These trailers enhance our experiences as they let us see into the lives of different teenagers growing into their adulthood, getting into all different kind of troubles and also falling in love. The purpose of these trailers was to entertain us and also can educate us depending on how you look at it.
'Love & Baskteball' trailer is edited to a great standard. It starts off with when they was young then foward to when their oler playing basketball in slow emotion. It skips to scene to scene but also going back to them playing basketball and to when they was younger. While it goes from bit to bit it also shows us a basketball hoop on fire which causes tension. The sound is very good as it has loud music at start then as it shows them falling in love the music gets softer and slow. During their arguments the music is very slow but whilst there playing basketball the music is faster and more energetic. The image is very good and very bright. 'ATL' the editing is done to a very good standard it keeps you engaged the whole time as it is edited very fast and snappy. It skips from loads of scences at a time and has loads of text on screen. The music is very loud and fast but gets quiter when the backing voice speaks. The image is at a good quality and i am very impressed with the trailer. I persoally think nothing more could have been done to improe both these trailers as they are done to a great standard and i was very intreigues to watch the films when i fist saw the trailers. I liked everything about the trailers from the image to editing and sound. It does fulfill its purpose to get us to watch the films and also entertain us as viewers.
Looking and comparing all these different types of interactive videos i have come to a conclusion that in time the trends are going to keep geting better and better which means that interactive video will be more versitile. It has come to a point where anything is possible so the media industry will definetely create a range of new interactive videos. I think in the future we are going to see many different interactive videos which will impress us more than the current ones now.
