Cut Out Animation

This is my first final cut out animation. I was pleased with it.

I think my strengths were the sound for the video. I added fade and also had more than one sound over lapping. The sound added tension and also matched my animation. I think the story for my animation was done well but I think my weakness was that it should have been longer and I also could have made more moves on the animation especially from 0.05 seconds where the man does not move till 0.07 seconds. I should have added a few more moves to those two seconds as the rest of the cut outs move. Overall I think for my first cut out this was a success and worked well. I now have gained more skills to make my second one even better.

Lotte Reniger and Terry Gilliam were very successful at making cut out animations. Their animations are very detailed and the actions of the animation may appear outrageous and different to the viewers.
